Microsoft has begun rolling out Xbox Mode to Windows 11 PCs, bringing a console-like gaming experience with a controller-friendly interface across desktops, laptops, and tablets.

The new Xbox Mode is designed to make PC gaming feel more like using an Xbox console. It introduces a full-screen, controller-optimized interface that lets users easily browse and launch games without needing a keyboard or mouse.
According to Microsoft, the feature also combines game libraries from multiple platforms, including Xbox Game Pass, Steam, and other PC stores, into one unified interface. This makes it easier to access all installed games in one place.
The rollout started on April 30 and is currently available in select markets, with wider availability expected in the coming weeks. Users can get the feature by enabling the latest Windows updates on their devices.
Xbox Mode was originally introduced as a “full-screen experience” on handheld gaming devices, and has now expanded to standard Windows 11 PCs. The interface focuses on reducing background distractions and improving performance while gaming.
This move is part of Microsoft’s broader plan to bring Xbox and Windows gaming closer together, offering a more seamless experience across different devices.
